There are several ways to earn cash and make money online, however, few are as effective as the one we are going to be talking about today, Google Adsense.
Using Google Adsense I have been able to earn a very respectable residual income stream to enhance my regular paycheck, all without having to leave my home and with very little effort beyond the initial research and site setup.
What you will need:
- A computer or access to a computer (such as a library for example)
- An internet connection. No way around this one obviously.
- WordPress. You can download it free from WordPress.org
- A web host account with unlimited domains. We use Hostgator and it is by far and away the best.
- A Google Adsense Account
How to make money using Google Adsense
You will first need to find a topic about which you are knowledgable enough to create content. You will use WordPress to create posts about your topic (or niche as its often called). Your niche can be as varied as your own interests or those of your family and friends. For example, needlework, quilting, picture frame making, skiing, just to name a few, are all possible niche ideas.
Once you have a niche, you need to select a domain name with which you will create a website all about your niche. For example, if my niche is about “picture frame making”, I will want a top level domain (.com, .net or .org) which contains the niche’s phrase or keywords, “picture frame making” (pictureframemaking.net as an example)
Once I have secured the domain name, I will want to assign the DNS servers to point to my web host address. Usually this is in the form ns1.yourhost.com and ns2.yourhost.com
Once you have the DNS servers pointing to your web server, you will want to install wordpress into your site and create the content for the site. You will need an About, Contact and Privacy Page as well as a Product Page which has all the information about your niche.
Once you’ve got these basic pages in place, its time to add Adsense to your site. I find that the best place to post Adsense is near the top of the product page. I also like to add pictures, as you see at the top of this page, in order to engage the reader’s attention and reinforce that my site is the site they are looking for.
